Therapy in the home allows us to work in the child’s natural environment, where routines and behaviors most commonly occur. This setting provides valuable opportunities to address specific daily challenges and reinforce skills in real-time.  

We collaborate with school staff and related services providers to ensure consistency between therapeutic goals and classroom expectations. By supporting children directly in their educational environment, we help them navigate social situations, increase independence, and thrive academically. 

Supporting children in community settings is essential for real-world success. Whether it’s a trip to the grocery store, a restaurant, an after-school activity, or a doctor’s appointment, we help children apply learned skills in everyday environments. 

At Stepping Forward LBA, we believe that families play a vital role in a child’s progress. That’s why we prioritize educating and empowering caregivers to be active participants in their child’s learning journey. Our team provides hands-on training to teach families the same evidence-based strategies we use in sessions—focusing on communication, cognitive development, social interaction, self-help, and self-advocacy. A core part of our approach is helping families understand how effective communication can reduce challenging behaviors and promote meaningful growth. We offer consistent, ongoing communication and coaching to help caregivers confidently implement these techniques at home and beyond. This ensures that the skills learned during therapy sessions are generalized across all areas of the child’s life. To support this, we offer flexible scheduling to ensure that training takes place in a manner and at a time that is comfortable and convenient for the entire family.

The integration of ABA techniques in classrooms, schools and other educational or community settings is vital for promoting effective learning. At Stepping Forward LBA, we work collaboratively with school teachers, related service providers, and community organizations to equip them with the necessary tools and strategies they can implement directly in their daily practices. Our tailored ABA trainings are designed to meet the unique needs of each setting.

In addition, we provide on-site consultation visits, during which we observe students in their natural settings, partner with staff, and offer data-driven recommendations to support student success. Our team also develops behavior intervention plans that are realistic, actionable, and designed for easy implementation by educators, service providers, and community organizations.
